TADS 2

The Text Adventure Design System (TADS), authored by Michael J. Roberts, is a powerful and flexible development system that allows an author to create high-quality works of Interactive Fiction.

The TADS 2 language offers an object-oriented Pascal / C-style syntax that is clear and easy to read and will be familiar to most people comming from a computer programming background. At the same time the system is provided with an excellent Authors manual that explains the elements of Interactive Fiction authoring in a style that accomodates both beginner and expert alike.

Additionally, an excellent tutorial has been written by Mark Engleberg for people new to TADS. The tutorial comes with high praises and is recommended to new authors.
